Blog post 4



1. Yes I believe so. The whole situation could have been prevented if Josh could have seek proper help. It seems that the church did not help Josh as well because they did not do anything to help his social issues and the abuse that he had throughout his childhood.

2. They brought the defendants to trial because they want to know the motive of why these guys did it. Another argument is that you could have blamed the police for not doing anything while these 2 men were in the house causing chaos.

3. If mental health is a factor because the defendant can plead to insanity instead of getting a death penalty or any type of punishment. What we should do is create a fine line between what is sane and insane. This is because some criminals might just plead to being crazy in order to face real consequences. If we can enable a law that can differentiate between the two then everything would be much easier to handle.

Should it be a law to for media not to encourage or not encourage the death penalty?
